We have picked some dates and we are heading to the Gulf of Mexico. This trip will be a first for Katie Beth.
Most my mother’s side of family has not seen Katie Beth so this will be great time for them to meet her.
I know that we will all have a great time in the sand and surf.
The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is in town. A number of clowns from the circus performed at the Bridge Street Town Centre.
Katie Beth had a blast with the clowns. I had her on my shoulders to see all the action, but she couldn’t sit still. She kept jumping up and down with excitement.
Katie Beth learned that you can turn over a rock and find interesting things like a Roly-Poly.
We had fun climbing through our ditch and searching for things to be found.
We found all sorts of things.
Larry was playing the tunes at The Nook tonight. It was great getting in here to hear Larry play. I got to show off pictures of Katie Beth to Susan Woellhart, which is always fun.
FYI: Karen and Larry were co-workers at Westar.
Well, our plans are laid and we are heading to Walt Disney World in May! This will be the first time for Katie Beth to go into the parks.
During our previous visit, we did not go into the parks. Katie Beth had a blast during that trip. I can only imagine how much fun she will have on this trip.
It could be Katie Beth’s last plane flight prior to her turning 2 years old.
We were having a great time outside with the unseasonal weather. It is around 72°.
Katie Beth was collecting pine needles, which is one of her favorite passtimes. I found her slowly feeding them into the bird feeder’s holes.
She just laughted and kept going. What do you expect?
Karen had a great idea. It was to give Katie Beth a tree at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. With the idea being, Katie Beth could grow with her tree. This is a picture of us in front of her tree, which is a Burr Oak.
Here is a Google map of its location in the garden near the east side of the children’s garden, but presently the map is dated:
Katie Beth is seen here playing with her Valentine’s Day balloons, which are heart shaped.
You can see more of the pictures here: www.theallens.info/photos/
Don’t forget the username and password of “friends” and “photos”.
Well, tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Karen slipped some Sweethearts candy in my lunch.
To help put you in the Valentine’s Day spirits, here is a link to a get a free copy of Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On from Amazon.com.
The link is only good today and tomorrow. While you’re there, you better order some chocolate, too.
Our weather is wonderful after today’s storms blew through town. At +60° F, you can’t beat it.
Here is what the front looked like earlier:
It was not a bad storm, but it did dump a lot of rain quickly.
