Katie Beth is getting her morning dig in early.
We are heading to the Fairhope beach area on Mobile Bay.
Apples to Apples and Pizza
We all had a great time telling stories while eating our veggie pizzas. Katie Beth had fun with everyone. My Uncle Tommy, in the picture, came up with Ann to join us for dinner and games.
We played Apple to Apples and we all had fun laughing at the cards people were playing.
Sand Everywhere
Katie Beth had a blast at the beach. We dug in the sand and ran into the surf. She ate sand and maybe some sea water.
She loved the hole I dug deep in the sand. She wanted inside the hole, but she didn’t like us pushing the sand back onto her. It was okay for her push the sand onto herself.
Ribs & Reds Restaurant for Quick Lunch
Katie Beth slept on the drive to Gulf Shores, Alabama. We are getting lunch. Karen is changing Katie Beth into beachwear while we wait on our food order.
Karen ordered Grouper and I order Royal Reds. Katie Beth will be sharing.
Oh, Katie Beth has started to say “cheese” when we want her to smile for a picture.
Relaxing Morning
We have all had breakfast and we are enjoying the morning.
We are still deciding our plans for the day, but it will include water I’m sure. Aunt Ann and Uncle Alfred have suggested the Fairhope dock area, which was a lot to see.
Later tonight, my Uncle Tommy will join us for dinner.
Arrived at Uncle Alfred and Aunt Ann
Katie Beth, Karen, and I arrived at my aunt and uncle’s home in Fairhope, Alabama.
Little Alfred and Ashley were at Aunt Ann’s house. Tracey and Renyolds joined us and we all had dinner tonight. Everyone had a great time.
Tomorrow, we will go the beach and play in the sand and sun.
Greenville Rest Area
Katie Beth is doing great. The drive has been nice and the weather has missed us so far.
We are burning off more energy here as Katie Beth plays in the water with the leaves.
Pit Stop for Lunch
We have stopped at Chick-fil-A for a quick lunch and to burn some energy out of Katie Beth before we hit the road again.
Ready for Our Trip
Katie Beth and the car are packed. We are ready to go.
The Nook's 2nd Anniversary
Today marks the second anniversary of my dad starting The Nook.
The place has come a long way from the smoking bar that it had been. Some people would have called it a seedy place. At first, The Nook had 40 different beers with about 6 on tap. Now, The Nook has 17 beers on tap and over 160 available with the list always growing.
Now, The Nook hosts many beer events such as beer releases, tastings, and more.
Most of the interior has been redone. The exterior is slowly being redone as well.
