You can give a child a creek and rocks and they will have fun for hours.
Today was extra special, because other children were playing at the creek.
What's happening in my world…
Karen has taken Katie Beth to Sci-Quest today for one of their day programs. Katie Beth is seen here in her roll as Dr. Katie Beth. Note: the stethoscope is not in her ears.
I appreciate the little boy letting Katie Beth checking out his heart.
We had a great time. Katie Beth got to see her cousin Ricky. Aaron seemed to enjoy us coming to his concert. We got to visit prior to the concert at their home.
On a side note, we stopped by McDonalds on the way home to get a bite to eat. They had ran out of Coca-Cola. Aagh! How do you run out of Coca-Cola?
Katie Beth, Karen, and Lucy (Karen’s friend) all went to the Galaxy of Lights at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. Tonight was the last night for the walking tour through the lights, which wonderful if you have never done it.
Katie Beth even got to visit with Saint Nicholas. Last year, she only looked from a far.
Our vacation has ended, but Katie Beth didn’t get the message. She woke up at 4:30 AM this morning, but I was able to get her back to bed.
I decided to hop in the shower around 5:30 AM. As I was getting ready to leave the house around 6:00 AM, Katie Beth greeted me as I was walking to the stairs.
It will be tough getting back on schedule.
